Most girls grow up dreaming about the day they meet that special someone and get to walk down the aisle and be a princess for a day. Honestly I’ve never really dreamt about it and for as long as I remember I have actually been against marriage and did not see the point of it all; I mean it’s just a piece of paper that makes things so much more complicated when/if the love doesn’t last.

What I dislike most about the whole institution is the oppressive side of it; I hate how many girls are still forced into it. According to United Nations Population Fund, more than 140 million girls will become child brides before 2020. However, as all things there is always two sides to every story.  As long as people marry out of pure love and not because they feel bound by traditional family or religious standards I am a big supporter. Although divorce statistic are up the roof I still think it’s a beautiful thing; I mean is there really any bigger love declaration than wanting to spend the rest of your life with someone?

I got to be a part of the most beautiful wedding, without exaggerating it was the most magical day and it officially made me one of the dreamers.  My friends got married on the beach on Koh Samui and it was so dreamy and not only did it look picture perfect, but you could feel the love and happiness in their presence. Seeing a love so strong that stands through thick and thin, distance and hardship is so rare these days and I just think it is beautiful and more of us should aspire for this kind of love.

Congratulations Tanja and Nic I absolutely adore you guys!
